I was walking my two dogs this morning and spotted deer on the edge of the ancient woodland. They obviously live on Reed Court Farm in the ancient woodland and the other woodland close to it. My dogs spooked them as you can see.
Conservation status: Protected in the UK under the Deer Act 1991.

What a wonderful sight. Absolutely priceless . Worth fighting for . personally I’d rather keep our wildlife than have all the eggs you can eat on our shelves !
We saw them again today Cheryl, Kevin is going to contact Kent WildLife Trust. They are protected under the Deer Act of 1991
Would love to hear the feedback from Kent Wildlife Trust about the protection rights of the deer. If that kind of biodiversity isn’t worth protecting, nothing is. It would be a travesty to undermine and take away their natural habitat.
A chicken farm next to a river... unbelievable. Friday‘s claim that their farm wouldn’t be adding to river and soil pollution (as per the rebuttal in the Kent News) is bizarre; when you want to put 192,000 chickens on land with a hill that runs towards the river, which regularly floods, pollution is inevitable. The claim that they will not be adding any more pollution than any other farm is also missing the point. It does increase pollution, damage the environment and will impact local wildlife. SOLUTION: NO CHICKENS = NO POLLUTION.
Greet idea . Well done
One of our neighbours spotted the deer again this morning - We are in touch with Kent Wildlife Trust, and I've emailed them again today. Despite various emails from them, we still haven't managed to speak, but this might really help!
Thank you for letting us know!
