Does any body now the latest on the installation of the fiber optics cables connections, they put all the cables in last summery in Dairy Lane (up on the poles) and we have not heard anything yet on the switch on date.
Marden is all connected now, but heard our connection was coming from Hunton Hill, if anybody has any news.
It often comes into question what is the best wall mount for such big TVs, can you mount a 75-inch tv on the wall, are tv wall mounts universal, what size screws are used to mount a Samsung tv, and even can you hang a curved tv on a regular wall mount? Read till the end to have all such questions answered.
There is also a guide in the end after wall mount for 82 inch samsung tv for wallmountedhub
Thank you. BT have been booked to install 500mbs fibre broadband to the house on 7th April. Happy surfing !!!!
BT have just installed the fiber optics connection to the house, we now have 400mbs of down load and 50mbs of upload. this has been installed in Dairy Lane, the Marden end, and is available to all along the street. i am sure these are other providers out there if people would like to investigate but BT is fine for us.
With so many options available in the market, I am sure this list has made a few things easy for you while researching a good durable mount for your TV. Placement of the TV, viewing angles, tilt angles, everything provides the extra finesse needed to give your room a classy look and only the best wall mount for 82-inch TVs can do that.
If you want to know how to mount a curved TV on a wall then click here.
Our Internet is very poor and most days the upload speed is 0.1mbs. BT have been out several times with no improvement at all. Surprisingly after every complain, the speed improves slightly but then drops back. They claim they need to dig up the road as my line is noisy, but waiting for local authorities permission.
update on the internet
I spoke with a couple of Openreach engineers that were surveying the underground cables, the location is between the entrance to Fridays and the bridge, apparently the problem is the chambers are to far apart and they can only pull cables up to 200m the chambers are 230m. so they having to get another team out to dig a hole for a new chamber.
The reason its not been done is it was to difficult and is only being looked at now because they have some budget to spend before April,
Sounds like we may be a bit closer to getting fiber optics, problem is not enough houses to make money on so we are a low priority, sound familiar.
below discussion with Marden Parish Council, long and short, they have no answer and can not help much, next action is to email a member who may be able to assist.
does any body know David Burton (ward Cllr for Marden) that can ask him teh question rather than start another email chain.

You sent February 10 at 2:55 PMCan the parish council request an update on the final connections to the fiber optic cables that where installed summer last year over in Chainhurst, i know most of Marden are now connected but we have had no updates or commutations from anybody. With us all at home still its is a real struggle trying to work and complete school lessons.

Marden Parish Council, Kent sent February 11 at 11:32 AMHi Matthew, we can understand the difficulty what with everyone being online at home. Have you looked at this from KCC? https://www.kent.gov.uk/leisure-and-community/broadband
You sent February 11 at 11:37 AMMany thanks for your help, but can you obtain a date from the installation provider as the parish council you should have access to better information or organisation s that are completing works You sent February 11 at 11:40 AMSorry but I am not getting much success in finding the right information, I thought you might have been a work plan or program
Marden Parish Council, Kent sent February 11 at 11:53 AMUnfortunately, we are not provided with work programmes from installation providers. However, we do have a contact with Trooli who are currently carrying out works in the area which we can try and find out more information for you.

You sent February 11 at 5:28 PMi just read the government link above in more detail, if the suggestion is we have to apply for a grant and club together to pay for fiber optics, which is what this indicates then i have probably not explained myself the fiber optics cable is on the BT line/pole out side our houses, we just need it to connected into the house its been like it for months now. just feel like we are getting left behind the rest of the parish.

You sent February 12 at 11:36 AMthanks for you help, problem is they don't treat us as Marden, i have asked for them to give me a call to discuss, Chainhurst residents might need some pressure applied to trooli to get things moving from the Parish Council, i will keep you informed, many thanks again
Feb 12, 2021, 12:48 PM
You sent February 12 at 12:48 PMfurther update - BT will not answer any questions as its not connected, they say contact Openreach, Openreach you cant talk to anybody because your not a customer and they say contact BT,
You sent February 12 at 1:00 PMTrooli will not be coming to Chainhurst as it is a Open reach System, You sent February 12 at 1:02 PMOpen Reach will not talk to me as i am not a customer, we need help from the council to apply some pressure from somewhere to get an answer of whats going on. Open reach own the cable in the ground, so Trooli will not touch it. we are back to start and no further along,
Marden Parish Council, Kent sent February 12 at 1:15 PMA Collier Street resident has sent me a link for a Community Fibre Partnership https://www.openreach.com/fibre-broadband/community-fibre-partnerships Can you email me direct (clerk@mardenkent-pc.gov.uk) to let me know if this is any help to Chainhurst residents? Community Fibre Partnerships openreach.com
You sent February 12 at 1:22 PMjust checked the Hunton exchange is ready for use and the cables are on the poles in front of the houses, the CFP's are for when open reach do not intend on putting the fiber optics in to the area and you end up paying for it, Chainhurst already has it, we just to know when its getting connected, it seems to be if Open Reach wait long enough they will get a CFP in place to pay for it and save them money, perhaps i am being to cynical.
You sent February 12 at 1:23 PMhttps://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/questions-about-fibre-availability
You sent February 12 at 1:24 PMIs there anything I can do to make sure fibre broadband comes to my cabinet? As a first step, we suggest you talk to your local authority. They get funding from the Government to improve access to fibre broadband through the Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) programme. You might be able to help them decide which areas to prioritise for the next wave of BDUK funding.
You sent February 12 at 1:24 PMstatement above from the web link You sent February 12 at 1:25 PMdo you have any contacts in the LA that can confirm funding
