I agree Cheryl, great news indeed. One thing though, everyone was very vocal who signed up for the Marden Planning Opposition and opinions were voiced. We need more people who have subscribed to WeLoveChainhurrst to comment and voice their opinions on the forum pages. If we now promote the website and soon a Facebook page, with signs, stickers, banners etc then when they come to the website they need to see that lots of people are involved :)

Hi Peter. Thanks for posting your views. The Bedgebury farm that you mention also (from the road) looks like an open prison I am told. It also is not in the middle of a sleepy-ish rural village like Chainhurst with a SSSI River Beult running alongside it. It has a couple of houses dotted here and there and probably occupied by the farming employees.

I think it's actually closed down for good but I don't have confirmation of that!! I've walked to The Woolpack one bank holiday weekend, which is the same distance away. You need to walk on the north side of the river first and then crossover at the bridge just the other side of the where the Lesser Tiese joins the Beult. It's not as straight forward as going to The Stile Bridge but the reward is worth it :)
